With servicing in mind, Wemoto has put together comprehensive Service Kits, designed to make life easier by providing the parts you need to service your motorcycle, in one handy bag.

Everyone’s motorcycle needs a bit of TLC from time to time to keep it lubricated, clean, filtering oil and air properly and firing on all cylinders! So it is important to service it regularly making sure to include: tightening up any bolts which may have shaken loose, inspecting the tyres, lubricating your chain and changing the filters and oil, amongst other things.

As well as parts, the motorcycle-specific kits also contain latex gloves which make a huge difference to the job. They don’t affect your finger sensitivity for undoing those fiddly screws and completing intricate jobs, but keep your hands pristine so you can just take them off and carry on with your day without an age of scrubbing to get the oil and grime off your fingers.

The whole kit comes packed in a useful, washable and reusable cotton Wemoto bag – ready for you to grab and get to work. When you’ve finished your service you can use the handy drawstring cloth bag for other things.

With smaller cc bikes it can be helpful to service them even more regularly than the usual mileage or annual requirement and changing the oil and the filters can prolong their lives and keep them running really well for longer.

Depending on your model, the kits will include some of the following: Air filter, Oil filter, Oil strainer, Fuel filter, NGK spark plugs, Sump plug washer, Oil filter o-ring, Oil filter screen, Engine oil and Latex gloves.

WD-40 Specialist Motorbike Range

WD-40 is just the one maintenance spray, isn’t it? Not anymore. The company has developed a new range especially for bikers.

Through teaming up with the British Superbike Series and Sheffield University, WD-40 has managed to create products which have been highly tested to ensure they meet the demands of racing. Having said that, it’s products are desirable for any rider. The range designed to provide all-year-round maintenance care to improve your machine’s performance and extend its life.

Its products include chain cleaner (in a 400ml bottle), and chain lube (100ml or 400ml – for dry conditions) and wax (100ml or 400ml – for wet conditions) with anti-fling properties, for cleaning and lubricating standard, O-ring, X-ring and Z-ring chains. But a bit of work before the bike goes into hibernation can ensure that you have the minimum of fuss when you bring it back out again.

Magnetic Parts Trays

Sick of kicking your nuts across the floor?

One of the most simple, but brilliant, new additions to Wemoto’s extensive list of parts and tools is the magnetic parts tray.

Many a DIY (or indeed, professional) mechanic may recall knocking over their parts tray (be it an actual parts tray, or makeshift cereal box), sending all the nuts, bolts and fittings from the bike they’re currently working on to all four corners of the garage.

The magnetic parts tray features two powerful magnets which secure all the nuts, bolts and other ferrous parts to the tray, but more importantly, secures the tray to any metal surface, making it far more difficult to accidentally nudge off the shelf.
