WD-40 is just the one maintenance spray, isn’t it? Not anymore. The company has developed a new range especially for bikers.
Through teaming up with the British Superbike Series and Sheffield University, WD-40 has managed to create products which have been highly tested to ensure they meet the demands of racing. Having said that, it’s products are desirable for any rider. The range designed to provide all-year-round maintenance care to improve your machine’s performance and extend its life.
Its products include chain cleaner (in a 400ml bottle), and chain lube (100ml or 400ml – for dry conditions) and wax (100ml or 400ml – for wet conditions) with anti-fling properties, for cleaning and lubricating standard, O-ring, X-ring and Z-ring chains. Brake cleaner (500ml – finally a WD40 product we can use on our brakes!), Silicone Shine (400ml) and Wax & Polish (400ml), which provide a nice finish while protecting your bike from ageing, and the all-purpose cleaner Total Wash (1ltr or 5ltrs) safe to use on plastics, rubber, aluminium, chrome, carbon fibre, seals and disc pads.

(Price includes VAT and is correct at time of writing, October 2013.)
Lynx Hooks are the new, fully adjustable, versatile and safe luggage securing solution from Wemoto. The unique patented Lynx Hooks interlocking system is stronger, safer and more adaptable than bungee cords, and the adjustable straps mean that one set of Lynx Hooks can replace and entire bucket full of bungee cords.
Motorcycles – Rest in Winter Storage, or Withstand the Winter Weather?
Of course, the grit and wet conditions of the road are harmful to any bike being ridden during the winter seasons, but if you were thinking that when the weather turns bad, you can just leave the bike to hibernate in the garage and bring it out next spring in the same condition, you might be in for a shock. When spring rolls around if you haven’t made the proper storage preparations you’ll find there’s a lot of work to be done before you’ll be running smoothly again. But a bit of work before the bike goes into hibernation can ensure that you have the minimum of fuss when you bring it back out again.
The new, no fuss 12V fully automatic motorcycle battery charger from Italian manufacturer BC has no buttons, dials or other fiddly bits to reckon with – in fact, it has no buttons whatsoever.
Literally a ‘connect and forget’ charger, just connect the charger to the mains and to the battery, and it does everything else for you. It even comes with a permanent eyelet cable in the box which, once connected the first time, can be left on the bike through all varieties of weather for an easy charging point instead of fighting to access the terminals each time.
Beneath all the simplicity of the ‘Easy 6’, a complex microprocessor ticks away as soon as it’s connected to the battery, automatically running through the 6 charging cycles the charger is named for as needed for any type of 12V lead acid battery.
