Swift Chain

Swift ChainExceedingly popular, competitively priced, quality drive chain – it can only be Swift.

Manufactured in Taiwan, using specially heat treated steel and cutting edge design allows Swift Chain to offer a very similar if not greater tensile strength to the leading brand chain – and for a far more realistic price, which makes this quality of chain accessible to a much wider market.

Swift Chain is available in a variety of weights and cut lengths, and a choice of sealed X-ring, O-ring or unsealed chain is available.

Motorcycle Chain Installation and Maintenance

It is highly recommended to replace chain and sprockets at the same time. Replacing only the chain or only the sprockets can be a false economy – A worn chain will cause additional wear to new sprockets, while worn sprockets will cause premature wear on a new chain.

All chains should be installed by a qualified mechanic – installing a chain with incorrect tension or misaligned sprockets may cause premature wear or cause the chain to break. All chains (including O-Ring and X-Ring chains) require lubrication at intervals – it is usually recommended to re-lubricate the chain at every 300 miles.

Rivet links require a riveting tool to fit and, when fitted correctly, are the same strength as other links in the chain. A split link may require pliers to fit or remove and are approximately 60% the strength of a regular link.
